Diesel generator set without current and voltage output processing method
1, multimeter voltage file detection
Turn the multimeter knob to 30V DC voltage (or use a general DC voltmeter appropriate file), connect the red pen to the generator “armature” connection column, and connect the black pen to the housing, so that the engine runs above the medium speed, the voltage standard value of the 12V electrical system should be about 14V, and the voltage standard value of the 24V electrical system should be about 28V.
2, external ammeter detection
When there is no ammeter on the dashboard of the car, an external DC ammeter can be used to detect. First remove the generator “armature” connector wire, and then connect the positive pole of the DC ammeter with a range of about 20A to the generator “armature”, and the negative wire to the above disconnecting connector. When the engine is running above the medium speed (without using other electrical equipment), the ammeter has 3A-5A charging indication to indicate that the generator is working normally, otherwise the generator does not generate electricity.
3, test lamp (car bulb) method
When there is no multimeter and DC meter, car bulbs can be used as a test light to detect. Weld wires of appropriate length to both ends of the bulb and attach an alligator clamp to both ends. Before testing, remove the conductor of the generator “armature” connector, and then clamp one end of the test light to the generator “armature” connector, and take the other end of the iron, when the engine is running at medium speed, the test light indicates that the generator is working normally, otherwise the generator will not generate electricity.
4, change the engine speed to observe the brightness of the headlamp
After starting the engine, turn on the headlights, so that the engine speed gradually increases from the total speed to the medium speed, if the brightness of the headlights increases with the speed, it indicates that the generator works normally, otherwise it does not generate electricity.
5, multimeter voltage file judgment
Let the battery to the generator excited, the multimeter selected in the DC voltage 3~5V(or the appropriate file of the general DC voltmeter) file, black and red pen are connected to the “iron” and the generator “armature” connection column, rotate the belt disk by hand, the multimeter (or DC voltmeter) pointer should swing, otherwise the generator will not generate electricity.
