Noise source analysis
The noise of diesel generator set is a complex sound source composed of many kinds of sound sources. According to the way of noise radiation, it can be divided into aerodynamic noise, surface radiation noise and electromagnetic noise. According to the cause, the diesel generator set surface radiation noise can be divided into combustion noise and mechanical noise. Aerodynamic noise is the main noise source of diesel generator noise.
1. Aerodynamic noise is due to the unstable process of gas, that is, the diesel generator noise generated by the disturbance of gas and the interaction between gas and objects. Aerodynamic noise radiated directly into the atmosphere, including intake noise, exhaust noise and cooling fan noise.
2. Electromagnetic noise is the diesel generator set noise produced by the generator rotor rotating at high speed in the electromagnetic field.
3. Combustion noise and mechanical noise is difficult to strictly distinguish, usually due to diesel generator cylinder combustion caused by pressure fluctuations through the cylinder head, piston, coupling, crankshaft, body radiating out of the generator set noise called combustion noise. The generator set noise caused by the impact of piston on cylinder liner and the mechanical impact vibration of moving parts is called mechanical noise. Generally, the combustion noise of direct injection diesel engine is higher than the mechanical noise, and the mechanical noise of non-direct injection diesel engine is higher than the combustion noise. However, combustion noise is higher than mechanical noise at low speed.

1: soundproof room
The sound insulation room is installed in the position of the diesel generator set, the size is 8.0m×3.0m×3.5m, and the outer wall of the sound insulation board is 1.2mm galvanized plate. The inner wall is a 0.8mm perforated plate, the middle is filled with 32kg/m3 ultra-fine glass wool, and the concave side of the channel steel is filled with glass wool.
Diesel generator noise control measures two: exhaust noise reduction
The diesel generator set relies on its own fan to exhaust the air, and the AES rectangular muffler is installed in the front of the exhaust room. The muffler size is 1.2m×1.1m×0.9m. The muffler is equipped with a muffler thickness of 200mm and a spacing of 100mm. The silencer adopts the structure of ultra-fine glass wool sandwiched by galvanized perforated plates on both sides. Nine silencers of the same size are assembled into a 1.2m×3.3m×2.7m large silencer. Exhaust louvers of the same size are located 300mm in front of the muffler.
Diesel generator noise control measures three: air inlet noise reduction
Install a natural inlet muffler on the sound insulation roof. The muffler is made of the same exhaust air muffler, the net muffler length is 1.0m, the cross-section size is 3.4m×2.0m, the muffler sheet is 200mm thick, the spacing is 200mm, and the muffler is connected with an unlined 90° muffler elbow, and the muffler elbow is 1.2m long.
Diesel generator noise control measures four: exhaust noise
Through the diesel generator set of the original matching two residential mufflers to eliminate the sound, the noise after the smoke is combined into a Φ450mm smoke pipe from the exhaust shutter to discharge upward.
