Diesel generator set is a complex system, the system is composed of diesel engine, power supply system, cooling system, starting system, generator, excitation control system, protection unit, electronic control unit, communication system, main control system. Engine, oil supply system, cooling system, starting system, generator can be unified into the mechanical part of the diesel generator set. The excitation controller, protection controller, electronic control system, communication system, main control system can be collectively referred to as the control part of the diesel generator set.
(1) Diesel engine
Diesel power generation system Diesel engine, fuel supply system, cooling system, starting system plus synchronous brushless generator assembly. The diesel engine is the power core of the whole power generation system, and the first stage of the diesel generator set is the energy conversion device, which converts chemical energy into mechanical energy. The diesel engine is mainly composed of the following parts: collective components and crankshaft connecting rod mechanism, valve mechanism and intake and exhaust system, diesel engine supply system, cooling system, lubrication system, starting and electrical system, booster system.
(2) brushless synchronous generator
With the continuous improvement of military, industrial modernization and automation, the demand for generator power supply quality is also getting higher and higher. The improvement and development of synchronous generators as the main power generation equipment is also rapid, brushless synchronous generators and their excitation system came into being, and are constantly developing and improving.
The characteristics of brushless synchronous generator are:
1. No sliding contact part, high reliability, simple maintenance, long-term continuous operation and little maintenance, especially suitable for automated power stations and harsh environments.
2. The conductive part has no rotating contact, and does not produce sparks, suitable for flammable gas and dust and other high risk, harsh environmental conditions, while the characteristics of no slip ring can also adapt to high temperature environment.
3. Because the brushless generator is composed of multistage generators, indirectly control the excitation power of the main generator, so the control excitation power is very small, so the excitation power regulation device has a small volume of controllable power devices, low heat, so the failure rate is low and the reliability is high.
4. Although the brushless synchronous generator is a self-excited excitation system, it has the characteristics of the separately excited synchronous generator and is easy to achieve parallel operation.
