However, in order to ensure the efficient operation of the diesel generator set and extend its service life, regular replacement of the oil, filter and fuel filter is an essential maintenance step. This article will detail the replacement steps of diesel generator oil, filter and fuel filter to help you perform maintenance correctly.
1.Oil change procedure：
a. Turn off the diesel generator set and wait for it to cool.
b. Open the oil drain valve to drain the old oil. Ensure proper disposal of waste oil.
c. Open the oil filter cover, remove the old oil filter element, and clean the filter element seat.
d. Apply a layer of new oil on the new oil filter and install it on the filter base.
e. Close the oil filter cover and gently tighten it with your hand.
f. Use the funnel to pour the new oil into the oil filling port, ensuring that the recommended oil level is not exceeded.
g. Start the diesel generator set and let it run for a few minutes to ensure normal oil circulation.
h. Turn off the diesel generator set, check the oil level and make necessary adjustments.
2.Filter replacement steps：
a. Open the filter cover and remove the old filter.
b. Clean the filter base of the machine and ensure that there is no residual old filter.
c. Apply a layer of oil to the new filter and install it on the filter base.
d. Close the filter cover and gently tighten it with your hand.
e. Start the diesel generator set and let it run for a few minutes to ensure that the filter is working properly.
3.Fuel filter replacement procedure：
a. Turn off the diesel generator set and wait for it to cool.
b. Open the fuel filter cover and remove the old fuel filter.
c. Clean the fuel filter holder and make sure there are no old fuel filters left.
d. Apply a layer of fuel to the new fuel filter and install it on the fuel filter holder.
e. Close the fuel filter cover and gently tighten it with your hand.
f. Start the diesel generator set and let it run for a few minutes to ensure that the fuel filter is working properly.
